Choreo Accelerator

We take a disabled choreographer from open call all the way through to national tour, fully supporting them to make the work they want to make, with the performers and creative team they choose. No compromises, no constraints – just the space, resource and backing to realise a genuine artistic vision.

At the heart of the programme is our UK-wide Partner Network – a group of co-commissioning venues who are invested in the work from concept stage, not just presented with a finished production to buy. Each partner contributes financially and/or in kind and helps shape the programme from the outset. They are also invited to identify a disabled artist or representative local to them for the Artistic Assembly, ensuring regional voices shape curatorial decisions.

Commissioning Readiness Programme

Before the final commission is awarded, three shortlisted choreographers take part in our Commissioning Readiness Programme – a paid development process designed to make sure every candidate has the support they need to pitch with confidence.

That means one-to-one mentoring, access to specialist advisors and dedicated time to develop their ideas before presenting to the Artistic Assembly and our Partner Network. We believe the strongest commissions come from choreographers who’ve had the space to think, experiment and be properly prepared.

When to Apply

The first cycle runs from 2026 to 2028, touring to a minimum of six partner venues across the country. The open call will be announced soon – sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear.
